A preseason sensitization workshop was held in Nigeria’s Bukan Sidi Lafia, Nasarawa State on Tuesday March 19, 2019 by the Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT) in collaboration with the Institute for Agricultural Research (IAR) and the International Water Management institute (IWMI).
TAAT National coordinator for Nigeria Professor Henry Igbadun who spoke on effective water management practices for increased productivity for dry season rice farming, urged farmers in the state to adopt the new method of irrigation technology to realize bumper harvests in their farms.
The workshop was attended by 121 stakeholders from six communities surrounding Bukan Sidi and Azuba Basayi, extension Workers, rice IP leaders in the state and few persons from Agric-based NGOs in the state. The event recorded an impressive number of female participants.
